Paper Marbling Activity
Paper marbling is a fun and messy way to promote self-expression. This activity is recommended for kids as young as 5 years old.

is Paper Marbling?

How
to do it:
a.
I
have dissolved carrageenan in the water. It makes it thick so the paint can
float on top.
b.
Drip
tiny drops of color all over your water
c.
Use
at least 5 colors
d.
Go
slow and make tiny drops not lines! Try not to get air bubbles!
e.
After
your water is covered in paint, use the tooth picks to draw a design.
f. Design options:
i. Cross hatch
ii. Stars
iii. Swirls
iv. Hearts
g.
Holding
2 corners, drop paper on to water
h.
Grab
the edges and sweep the paper up, letting it drip dry over the water for 1
minute

Lay
paper on paper towels to dry

Repeat!
