Celebrate Every Day in December: A Book List

Three months of the year, our library takes a break from Storytime. During these months I like to provide families with activities to do at home. They can be in the form of an activity menu, library bingo, or a book list. 

This December, we’re excited to introduce a special way to count down the days until the holidays — with a "Celebrate Every Day in December" Calendar! Every day of the month, we'll be featuring a delightful picture book or story that’s perfect for cozy winter evenings, sparking curiosity and imagination in young readers.

Each book has been carefully selected to capture the spirit of the season — from festive tales of snow, family traditions, and holiday cheer, to stories about kindness, giving, and the wonders of winter. Whether it's a beloved classic or a new favorite, every book offers something special, from heartwarming illustrations to fun adventures that children will want to revisit again and again.

This calendar is a wonderful way to build a daily reading habit with your little ones while enjoying the magic of the season. You can make it a part of your bedtime routine, or turn it into a fun family activity to look forward to each morning. The beauty of reading a different book each day is that it keeps the excitement fresh and builds anticipation as you count down to the holidays.
