Story Walk Outline Lesson Plan: Dog's Colorful Day

 We love a Story Walk in the Spring!

This year our book is Emma Dodd's "Dog's Colorful Day." 

What is a Story Walk?

A Story Walk is a public display of a children's book, with pages mounted on boards or frames and placed along a walking path, creating a "walkable" story experience. It combines literacy with physical activity and outdoor engagement, encouraging families to explore nature while reading together. 

Participants will walk through the library as the read the story. 

They be given a printed picture of "Dog" to color as they pass stations set up with the messy scenes from the book.

Story Walks can be done inside or outside, any time of year
