Storytime Action Rhymes: 5 Dogs, Frogs, Dinosaurs and Snowmen! - Free Printable

For the month of April, we did a counting theme at our storytimes. Each of these poems features 5 animals, but the rhymes are totally unique!

We practiced counting to 5 using sign language with a fresh new rhyme each week.

Five Dogs:
Five dogs, five dogs, running all around.
Mama says it's bedtime so one lays down.

Five Little Speckled Frogs

Five little speckled frogs,
Sat on a speckled log,
Eating some most delicious bugs.
Yum yum!
One jumped into the pool,
Where it was nice and cool,
Then there were four green speckled frogs.
Glug glug!

Four little speckled frogs,
Sat on a special log,
Eating some most delicious bugs.
Yum yum!
One jumped into the pool,
Where it was nice and cool,
Then there were three green speckled frogs.
Glug glug!

Three little speckled frogs,
Sat on a speckled log,
Eating some most delicious bugs.
Yum yum!
One jumped into the pool,
Where it was nice and cool,
Then there were two green speckled frogs.
Glug glug!

Sat on a speckled log,
Eating some most delicious bugs.

He jumped into the pool,
Where it was nice and cool,
Then there were no green speckled frogs.

Five Little Dinosaurs
Five little dinosaurs went out one day,
Eating the trees along the way.
Here comes T-Rex big and fat
Four little dinosaurs go running back!

Five Little Snowmen
5 little snowmen, standing in a row.
Each with a hat and a big red bow.
Out came the sun and it shone all day,
1 little snowman melted away.
