Storytime Outline Lesson Plan: September Seasons

The kids are back to school, the weather has cooled, it's SEPTEMBER! 

September is a time of transition. Looking to nature is a great way to see the change. Leaves are starting to turn colors and fall to the ground. We can retire our swim suits for cardigans and begin to plan for cozy indoor activities and games. 

This selection of storytime books and rhymes will guide little ones into Autumn. 

Let's take a look at a rhyme: 

The Apple Tree

Here is the tree with leaves so green.

(Hold up jazz hands)

Here are the apples that hang in between.

(Make 2 fists)

When the wind blows, the apples will fall.

(Sway arms)

Here is the basket to gather them all!

(Make arms into a circle)
