Think for Yourself: Books That Spark Critical Thinking and Media Literacy - Book List
One of my favorite parts of my job is making book lists. I use these lists to make displays, recommendations, and choose books for storytime.
Today's list focuses on Media Literacy for kids. It is never too soon to teach your little one how to think independently. Beginning with books like Duck! Rabbit! and I Want to be in a Scary Story, gets kids asking questions and spotting misinformation.
Older kids will enjoy This Book is Not Good for You and But I Read it on the Internet. These titles can help them discern the difference between facts and opinions.
Enjoy these books at home, in the library, or classroom!
Think for Yourself!
These books help kids begin to ask questions, spot misinformation, think independently, and navigate a world filled with media and opinions.
