Storytime Outline Lesson Plan: Travel & Summer Vacation - Free Printable

Summer is my favorite time of year. For me, summer vacation is traveling, road trips, visiting the beach, camping, and seeing family.

Travel themed storytime can include modes of transportation like airplanes, trains, boats and cars. Or you can read about locations like the beach, desert, lake, or forest. You can talk about visiting family and discuss all the different types of family members. It's a great opportunity to make a family tree! You can even talk about packing a bag and all the different things you will need on your trip. The possibilities are truly endless. 

In this storytime outline, I've included 3 books "Penguin on Vacation," "Summer is for Cousins," and "Pete the Cat's Family Road Trip."

We will be singing classic songs like "Wheels on the Bus," and "Row, Row, Row Your Boat."

We will move and rhyme with the fingerplay "Choo-Choo Train."
