Teen Craft Corner: D.I.Y. Body Scrub

This craft is perfect for teens around the holiday season. We will mix our own body scrubs, scoop them into mason jars and add a gift tag for an adorable hand-made Christmas present.

Before class, I set out Messy Mats, a disposable bowl, and plastic spoon for each person. In the center of the table I put sugar, salt, coconut oil, essential oils and measuring scoops. 

I let the kids choose their ingredients and make their creations. Near the end, I hand out the mason jars. After the jars are filled, we use baby wipes to clean our hands. 

The kids choose their gift tags and fill them out. I provide blank ones if they are keeping the scrub for themselves. The tags can be attached with tape or ribbon.
