Storytime Outline: Bugs!
Hello friends! This week's storytime theme is BUGS! Let's explore these creepy-crawly critters!
As always, I begin with an active "Hello" song, followed by morning announcements. Then jump right in to our first book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle. Kids love this classic story. The caterpillar eats right through the books pages before transforming into a butterfly!
I pull out our silly scarves and use them for "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes". We then listen and dance to 'Shake Your Scarves by Johnette Downing.
Next, we read the oversized book "Itsy Bitsy Spider" by Nora Hilb. Don't forget those finger actions.
I like to pull out my bee finger puppets to sing "Here is the Beehive". It's always a hit.
Finally we hand out egg shakers and do a few egg-shaking songs before saying goodbye.
All the information can be found on the free printable outline!
Happy Planning!
